Why
The local energy company Umeå Energi only work with renewable energy and is leading the development towards a sustainable future. The summer of 2014, the sun shone so much on their solar panels that they decided to give back some sun to the community during darker times. Like in December, when Umeå has an average of 0.77 hours of sunlight per day.
How
By installing light therapy lamps at the local high school, giving light therapy to tired students during class, Umeå Energi got the opportunity to both strengthen its relations with the community and to talk about their work with renewable energy.
